Dan
College Counselor

Dan is an expert in college admissions counseling with experience in counseling and teaching spanning two decades. Dan provides leadership and student success strategies to teams of educators to support high-achieving students navigate the complex college admissions and financial aid process. She has worked with college access programs, selective scholarship organizations, university admissions offices, and has taught professionals in the field of college admissions counseling.

Dan is a first-generation college student through and through—she is the first in her family to graduate from college, earning a bachelor's degree in sociology from UCLA, followed by a master’s degree in teaching from UC Irvine, and doctorate in higher education administration from USC. Being a Vietnamese refugee and first-generation college student, Dan is keenly aware of the importance of the role higher education has in transforming communities and building an equitable world for everyone.
